July 25, 2010. We stayed at Ansi with two kids (6 & 4 years) for one week. We had the two bedroom apt. It was very clean. The souda bay view and sunset was amazing. The beach was perfect for the kids and Almirida had some really good seaside tavernas to enjoy in the evening. The owner of Ansi did also meet us with a smile and showed us our apartment even though we arrived 15 hrs late at 4.30 am. They had even bought a bottle of water, juice and some biscuits since we arrived in the middle of the night. Thank you for a great stay!

Fantastic. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment - plenty of room even with 5 of us and all the inflatables that come with a family holiday. The apartment was spotless, maid service excellent and the property was kept to a very high standard. All the utensils you need for a two week stay are present and the owners were happy to move furniture when we wanted all 3 children in the same room! Very accomodating. The views were spectacular and once you have negotiated the steps to the beach a few times you only really notice the climb home! The village has a few smaller supermarkets and two excellent bakeries for daily fresh bread and cakes. All in all an excellent venue if you are looking for somewhere to chill and your children are happy to play on the beach. The area is quite popular with local families too.

Totally Greek. We went to Ansi last August on a last minute booking and it was one of the cheapest but also one of the best relaxing holidays we have ever had. We stayed in a studio on the ground floor. Yes, the bathroom was a little small and yes, it was basic but it was also typically greek and charming. The view form our balcony was amazing. We would sit out every day to eat breakfast with an amazing view of Almirida bay, and then sit out late afternoon / early evening to watch the sunset with a nice bottle of wine. The beach in Almirida was beautiful and clean and the water was shallow wuite a way out. There was an ample selection of bars and Tavernas in the village, mainly along the side of the beach. All were really reasonably priced and served superb food and drink. The only non greek place to eat was the pizza place. The village has a real non commercialised greek charm. We saw the Greek owner of the apartments most afternoons sat under a tree in the grounds with some of his family. He didn't speak much English but we built a kind of hello - yasas relationship and they were always friendly. On our last day, when we were sat waiting for our taxi, they thanked us for staying with them, asked if we had had a nice time, and gave us drinks and biscuits. If you are used to commercial, developed, bland, spanish type holidays then don't bother going. If you like real Greek charm and atmosphere without any luxuries then it is well worth going.
